The 8 Week Training Program
This is an 8 week pre-season training programme based around a team training 2 x 2 hours hockey, 2 x strength and conditioning and 2 games of 60 minutes each and every week.
The training is based on a 'Step Programme'. Training weeks 1 - 3 and 5 - 7 are more physically demanding than weeks 4 and 8. The concept of this training pattern is to allow every 4th week of the plan to be a 're-generation' training week for the team.
