I have used many of the tennis drills and as a result my two High School teams has gone the entire season without conceding a single defeat.

Description

Players should be encouraged to splitstep after each shot, and to use the correct footwork and racket technique on each and every shadow. Being under no pressure with a ball to hit, there is no excuse for poor posture or an off balanced body!

Coaching Points

In a game situation when running to the net this is what the split step should look like - giving them a strong platform from which they can move in all directions.
