Hi. New to the site. Download or Saving drills?

Hi. New to the site. I am a fully paying member. I was wondering if anybody can tell me how to download the animations from the Sportsplan website? I want to download them to my tablet (similar to ipad) and show the team at training how the drill/skill etc is to be done. However, don't have internet access on tablet, so can't access drills online, and need to save it to tablet to show them. Can anybody help? Any suggestions?

Hi RJ,

I'm afraid the short answer is that you can't download drills from the site. However, there are lots of other things you might like to try:

  1. Load your lesson plan where you do have internet access and then open that page once you are out on the field (this method isn't 100% and depends on your tablet's memory space - some tablets will try to refresh, in which case this method will not work).

  2. Save your session as a PDF and download it onto your tablet. This way you will have a hard copy of your session (without animations) that you can show your team. For more information on how to do this please see section 4.3 in our PDF step-by-step user guide)

  3. Alternatively if you have an iPhone or other web enabled devices you can access your Sportplan account directly. As you said you had a tablet though you might like to try tethering the wirelesss internet signal from your phone to your tablet to create a mobile wi-fi network - this would then allow you to load your session

Hope this helps - please write back if there's anything else we can help you with,

All the best,
The Sportplan Team

Hi again RJ,

I've just re-read your question and seen that you asked about individual drills and not session plans. For tips and advice on how to go about creating a session on Sportplan please check out these links:

PDF user guide: Step-by-step user guide

The benefits of creating sessions is that you can add your own title and coaching notes, share them with other coaches/players plus all sessions are saved to your Sessions page so you can refer back to them whenever you like.

All the best,
The Sportplan Team

Easy to understand and use. Drills that are challenging for the kids I coach, which they're happy to work hard on to improve our game plan and their skill levels.
