I have a u16 womens team. They are starting to get a little lazy in their passes, moving to the ball. I would a drill where they have to constantally move with speed. I want them to get a good hard cardio workout. suggestions?
I don't think a good cardio workout would help them to get more active, play sort games 3 min, something where the winner gets a reward for example, the losing team stays and the winning team get rest. Or a drill where players have to make quick desissions.
Maybe it is not the players who are lazy but the drills/practice plan you have, make them lazy, I don't know how many years of experiance you have or what you back ground is but is not always the players!
i you want I can take a look at some drills you do with you girls, just post them and from there we see what we can do to get them more acticve.
See diagram for a drill i did with my girls.
player bleu, dribbles to the cone, and passes to player red.
player red recieves and dribbles to the cone, and passes to player bleu.
players follow there pass.
key points.
strong pass.
first touch.
keep moving after you pass.
What you say:![]() I have been using Sportplan for most of our season, including the "e book" and have found the content to be fantastic. The (men's) team has enjoyed all drills and have tackled each challenging training session with an enthusiasm second to none. A lot of the training sessions are now apparent during matches which speaks volumes for the site's content. Well done and thank you. |
