The 6 Nations Kicks Off

The 2016 6 Nations kicking off this weekend, the first major tournament since the Rugby World Cup last year, and we're certainly in store for some entertaining Rugby!

With the Home Nations in the final stages of preparation, Ireland will be looking to defend their crown, as well as going for the Grand Slam, aiming to go undefeated throughout the entire tournament. Standing in their way, they'll face Scotland, Wales, England, Italy and France, who'll all be looking to get over their World Cup heartaches and go for glory.

Here is a full fixture list for the tournament - make sure you don't miss a second of the 6 Nations!

Round 1:

  • 6th of February, 2:25pm GMT - France v Italy
  • 6th of February, 4:50pm GMT - Scotland v England
  • 7th of February, 3pm GMT - Ireland v Wales

Round 2:

  • 13th of February, 2:25pm GMT - France v Ireland
  • 13th of February, 4:50pm GMT - Wales v Scotland
  • 14th of February, 2pm GMT - Italy v England

Round 3:

  • 26th of February, 8:05pm GMT - Wales v France
  • 27th of February, 2:25pm GMT - Italy v Scotland
  • 27th of February, 4:50pm GMT - England v Ireland

Round 4:

  • 12th of March, 1:30pm GMT - Ireland v Italy
  • 12th of March, 4pm GMT - England v Wales
  • 13th of March, 3pm GMT- Scotland v France

Round 5:

  • 19th of March, 2:30pm GMT - Wales v Italy
  • 19th of March, 5pm GMT - Ireland v Scotland
  • 19th of March, 8pm GMT - France v England

Tackle plus one space

The aim of the drill is to encourage your players to drive for space together - the tackler and a supporting player competes for space on the tackle, looking to retrieve the ball quickly and attempt to force a turnover.

Use this drill to develop your players' handling skills, working on quick decision making and fast hands to get the ball away to your team-mates. A great exercise for any ability to start working on their technique.

Improve your team's speed at the breakdown and support play, with this popular drill. Make sure your players are communicating well with one another and are ready to react to the different breakdowns in play, so they are able to continue on with the attack!
