Rest and recuperation were in order for the Blues squad today, with only a pool and 'hot/cold' jacuzzi session together with some traditional Japanese bathing and 'buffing'. Many of the players took the opportunity to go and see Sumo wrestling, prop Kevin Tchukuk is allegedly considering a switch of codes in the light of this experience. Many of the other players caught up on some much needed sleep, or for those not involved in yesterdays match, a trip to the gym. A squad video session analysed yesterdays game, highlighting the impressive tackle counts of open side Richard Woods, who completed 17 tackles in the match, and that of centre John Allen who made 11 tackles, 3 of which led to turnover ball. The squad are now keenly focused on the upcoming match against Keio University on Wednesday night and training for that game tomorrow morning.
