Build upon your players? defending skills of trying to deny and limit space of the opposition, with this defensive session, so they can apply pressure on the ball and force an error. We also work on the importance of timing, when it comes to the drive, so your players know when to drive forward and intercept the ball from the opposition. Force the mistake and go on the attack yourself with some great defending!
Work on the key defensive skills needed, such as agility and decision making, so that your players know to anticipate the ball and be ready to intercept it. Get your players to effectively mark the opposition tightly and apply maximum pressure all the way down the court, to increase their team?s chances of going forward in attack themselves.
