Driving Forward and Intercepting the Ball!

EmuThe emu is the unofficial national bird of Australia because it can't step backwards, so is seen as a symbol of progression. This week we want your players to be like the emu and positively drive forward to make the interception.

To get your players intercepting from all sides this sharp movement session gets your players weaving and changing direction at speed to get in front and force the turnover.

What's in the Session?

  • 2 heart-raising weaving warm-up drills
  • 3 drills to develop timing of stepping in front
  • A fun final game so players go home smiling

Get your players using quick footwork and moving forward (like the emu) with confidence, weaving in front of their player to snatch the ball in defence!
