This week's session has been designed to instil that Andy Murray "never say die" attitude in your players and get them running to try and earn the point - even if the odds are stacked against them!
We also work on Serving Accuracy and Consistency by targeting the corners in the rally (and even a bit of mental arithmetic for the scoring system in the final game).
What's in the Session?
The majority of the drills in this session have been designed to have one player working in the full court whilst their partner is on easy street and has the simple task of working in the half court. As a result the odds are stacked in the favour of the half-court player and the full-court player might get frustrated, thinking that it's impossible to win the point.
Of course though it's not impossible for them to win, but it is harder. Players should be reminded that it's amazing what just making a few balls in the court can achieve - by running everything down, they'll be putting the half-court player under pressure to be more and more aggressive.
