The slice is an effective shot when played correctly. The defensive slice is one of the shots that can give many benefits to the player. Being in the defensive position puts a lot of pressure on hitting player so having skill to respond well and make it more difficult for the rival to put pressure again, is necessary to compete well against solid players.
What's in the Session?
The session begins with the player getting familiar with the slice shot whilst using different stance positions. As the session progresses, the player will look to develop the slice shot practising using it in different scenarios such as when the ball is on the rise, when a the player has to run into the ball or when the player has to stop or slide.
Players will develop a better understanding of the slice, the advantages of playing it and difficulties while responding to slice.
