I was teaching my girls centre pass defence. One of the mums said that the attacking WA and GA will never let our GD and WD on the out side of them. Is this true? if so why. thanx Kutz

Firstly you should never let any player dictate to you where you should be positioned on the court. You need to take control. There are advantages and disadvantages of being on the outside of the WA/GA. If WD/GD stand on the inside they can force them out to the wings and force the ball to go out. If they are on the outside of the GA/WA they can create crowding by getting the C to drop back and your GA/WA to come forward. Does that make sense? Depends on your game plan. Cheers Kim

Simple and great advice from Kim Dodds above. Never let a player dominate your space. either side you can still outwit your opponent, by playing smart and being quick to come out. Have you find ways to rattle your opponent and use speed and quick thinking before they do.Always think 1 step ahead and you will do fine. Itr does come down to your game plan. make sure you can come up with alot of options for players to use and practice.
