if you are working in the D and intercepting high balls into the GS/GA would this type of defending be classed as stage 2?
I dont tend to class defence as part of the 3 stages they have. i look at a defender, see what they are lacking in skills and work on that. if they are new to defence, then in front defence, sticking with your player, and footwork. then i teach behind defence, and intercepting by getting around your player, and using outside arm. zoning/blocking is the final part as its a combo of those 2 skills, and reading play. but thats me.
