Help Defence - Covering and Recovery Defensive Techniques

It's all about defence this week!

A team with a strong offence is great but when they cannot defend, it's pretty embarrassing especially when they're not winning. So, let's focus on developing and improving your players' defence techniques.

This session goes through defensive drills from start to finish. Your players will learn:

  • How to move correctly in a defensive stance
  • How to chase back and help out their teammate
  • How to recover after helping
  • How to take a charge (the right way)

This session also incorporates drills where your players will be able to practice defensive techniques in game like-situations.

This plan is aimed at 12-15 years old, however older teenagers and adults will thoroughly benefit from this session especially if your team is having defensive issues.
